Hearken, as we walk along.
Our soul sings a quiet song.
A wordless voice out of the deep,
That fills our friend in his sleep.
Our friend is one that never rests,
Seeking out that which is best.
Finding that, he seeks again,
That is the way of our friend.
Friendship’s sign and faith’s good token,
Stays the line, it lays unbroken.
Always there for all and one.
Our friend indeed, no task undone.
The salted sea flows from our eyes.
Unwiped, it never dries.
When it dries, it flows again.
Closed are the eyes of our friend.
